Patrick S. Fitzsimons #4192, retired Chief of Police passed away on December 16th at 95 years of age.
Chief Fitzsimons dedicated an impressive 15 years of service to the Seattle Police Department, having been hired on February 5, 1979, and retiring on February 15, 1994. He holds the distinction of being the longest-serving police chief in the history of Seattle.
A mass will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 11AM at Seattle University Chapel of St. Ignatius, 901 12th Avenue, with burial to follow (approximately 12:30PM) at Calvery Cemetery, 5041 35th Ave NE.
